Really, really early Saturday morning (before the sun even thought about rising) I was on the train making my way to NYC! The City totally lived up to all my expectations. There were tons of people, cars, and yellow taxis everywhere – it was great! What was the first stop you ask? Starbucks, of course!
Even though I was only there for 11 hours, I was able to see tons of the city….the Statue of Liberty, 5th Avenue, Wall Street, Rockefeller Center, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Time Square and so many other places. I took every bit of that 11 hours to take everything in and I absolutely loved every second of it! I did not get to see any shows, but that will be on the agenda for next time! Because yes, the next trip is already in the planning! :)Here are some of the pics....

I went to NYC in high school and loved it! It's such a fun city!
SOOOO GLAD you loved the city!!!! I could literally feel the enthusiasm oozing out of the screen.
Great pics!!
Great pictures!!!
You should definitely see a show next time! That would be so much fun! Have a great and safe rest of your trip!
Great pics...glad you had fun!
Wow you were able to see so much!!! I've only been to NYC once, and it was for a wedding weekend so I didn't have time to do much sightseeing, but as tacky as it may sound, I had a blast going on one of the double-decker city tour buses. The tour guides are entertaining and if you sit on the top of the bus you have a great view of everything.
There are starbucks EVERYWHERE in NYC! It makes me giggle :) Glad you had fun and thank you for the pictures!
My mom, my sister Pam & I went to NYC last year on spring break and LOVED it! There is so much to do and see. Wow...you saw a ton in just 11 hours.
I would recommend you go to The Top of the Rock.
You get a marvelous view and can see the Empire St. Building & Statue of Liberty on one side and Central Park on the other. I really liked that and we got some awesome pictures.
We got to go to the Late Show...sort of a last minute deal and we actually got tickets the day of. That was lots of fun. I got my picture taken with Rupert from the deli after the show.
We stayed at the Hilton right there by Radio City. It was a great location.
There's also a really neat church by ground zero where rescue workers were fed and slept. There are lots of pictures and info. I'd have to look at my info to see the name of it.
I could go on and on. :)
Thanks for the sweet comments on my blog about our Chicago trip. I shared what you wrote about my mom to her and she was very touched.
Love,
Valerie
